Structure
The BBC operates with an "officer core" of a few student officers. These students, along with the sponsor Ms. Vaden, work to coordinate the efforts and activities of the club. They also officially represent the BBC to outside groups such as the school newspaper. Non-officers are still able to find "leadership" positions for individual events (for instance, a BBC member might take charge of a Discussion Forum).
Appointment
At the end of each year, the BBC asks teachers to nominate students who might be interested in working with the BBC. These students and any students who attend of their own volition are invited to a recruitment party at the end of the year, at which the application process and available positions are explained.
Any student is eligible to apply for an officer position. The selections are made by Ms. Vaden by the end of the school year.
