Diversity Committee
Diversity Committee promotes diversity within the TJHSST community in the following ways:
- Supports the Fairfax County Public Schools system's and TJHSST's efforts to ensure that talented students of all backgrounds, including racial and ethnic backgrounds, apply to TJHSST.
- Supports the activities of student organizations that promote self-esteem among students of all backgrounds.
- Encourages students to apply for admission to TJHSST who belong to socioeconomic, geographic or racial groups that are underrepresented at TJ;
- Conducts a test preparation course for potential applicants to TJHSST who may benefit from the course in light of their socioeconomic, geographic or racial backgrounds.
- Conducts outreach to students who demonstrate potential for admission to TJHSST but, for whatever reason, might not be considering application.
