Upcoming Book & Author Events

MARCH 30 DEADLINE for The Northern Virginia Writing Project's Summer Institute. There are two sessions: July 10-21 at George Mason's Fairfax campus and July 23-August 4 at their Arlington campus. Apply online by March 30, notification by May 1.

April 20 - Arlington Reads presents Pulitzer Prize winner Elizabeth Strout, author of Olive Kitteridge and My Name is Lucy Barton. Her new book, Anything is Possible, will be published April 25th. She will be talking at Central Library in Arlington at 7 pm about "Why Fiction Matters."

May 3 - Author Viet Thanh Nguyen, 2016 Pulitzer Prize winner for his book The Sympathizer, will talk about the "role of fiction in illuminating issues of consequence" at Central Library in Arlington at 7 pm. Viet Thanh Nguyen recently released his new book of short stories, The Refugees.

May 4 - Ian Harding, author of Pretty Little Liars, will discuss his book, Odd Birds, at Kenmore MIddle School at 7 pm. Tickets are required.
